I waffled back and forth on that but ultimately decided "I have several guitars with silver or black hardware and none with gold."

That and I figured it might warm up the look of the guitar, and the gold isn't shiny... it's a satin finish gold. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Alot depends on the grain and color of the wood. I refuse to stain it, but I will be rubbing a lacquer finish on that should bring out the grain pretty well.

The main difference between this pic and the first one is the guitar is lighter in this one... Depending on the cut of wood it will be somewhere between this look and the other one. (the one above is very safe and conservative so I don't get my hopes up on the grain. [img]wink.gif[/img] )

Though it's nothing wild or crazy I just have to say that it's a beautiful design! I love the choice of wood and the three ovals, It has a classical elegance about it. If I saw it hanging up in a guitar store, I'd be asking the sales rep to pull it down from the wall, hoping and praying that it played as good as it looked!
